Scan its QR code
Open Farhand on your iPhone, tap +, and point the camera at the code. Your phone and computer now share a private key.

Private by design

Your screen and keystrokes are encrypted end to end with a key that only your devices have. Our relay just passes encrypted data along.
- A 256-bit key per computer, shared only through its QR code. It never crosses the network after pairing.
- Both sides prove who they are before any data flows, so no one can impersonate your computer or your phone.
- AES-256-GCM on every frame, with replay protection. The relay only ever sees ciphertext.
- Browsers hold keys that can't be exported, and forget them when you sign out.

Is Farhand free?
Yes, on your own network: connect to your computers over your home Wi-Fi (or Tailscale) with no account and no subscription. Reaching them from anywhere else goes through our relay, which is part of Pro ($4.99/month) or Ultra ($9.99/month). Both start with a 7-day free trial.
Which computers work?
Macs running macOS with the Farhand app, and Windows PCs with the Windows host. Your computer needs to be on and awake to connect.
Can I use it from a browser?
Yes. With Pro or Ultra, sign in at farhandapp.com/app with the same Apple ID as the app. Link the browser once by scanning a code with your iPhone, and your computers are ready. It works in current Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox, including on Android phones and tablets.
Do I need a VPN or port forwarding?
No. On your home network Farhand finds your computer automatically. Away from home, Pro and Ultra connect through our relay with no setup.
Can Farhand see what's on my screen?
No. Everything is encrypted end to end with a key that stays on your devices. See Security for the details.
